| Description: | Job Summary
The Load Checker is responsible for verifying all outbound products ordered are documented, properly loaded on trucks, secured and ready to transport. He/she is also responsible for verifying that inbound products are accurately inventoried and stored.

Physical demands: talk; hear; performing activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; use hands and arms in reaching, handling, and manipulating objects or controls; drive forklifts; frequently lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.
Work environment: work in very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures; indoor work environment; moderate noise level.
Candidates must pass pre-employment checks: drug screen, physical exam, background check.

| Duties: | 1. Examine product boxes and compare with invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
2. Compare selected product boxes with invoices or orders to verify accuracy, and products are packed, properly loaded, and secured for shipping.
3. Retain documents, such as work orders and shipping orders for records retention.
4. Follow loading and shipping methods for product boxes, as trained and communicated by management.
5. Communicate with management to assist in rectifying problems, such as damages, shortages, and product returns.
6. Move product boxes to storage areas using equipment such as forklift or electric pallet jack.
7. Document products for shipping or storage, using work devices such as hand-held scanners.
8. Clean up equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. |
| Qualifications: | Minimum:
1. High School Diploma/GED.
2. One (1) year work-related experience, skills and knowledge.
3. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
4. Good organization skills – prioritize work assignments and manage work time.
5. Basic skills in use of computers and software programs.
Preferred:
1. Two (2) year work-related experience, skills and knowledge.
2. One (1) year experience driving forklift (stand-up, sit-down, or both). |
